Giving birth is a time of profound significance and should be given special preparation and attention. I provide helpful instruction during the prenatal period, personal support throughout labor, and nurturing care during postnatal recovery.

I offer:

calm, reassuring presence during labor and birth
physical comfort measures and breathing techniques to help you work with your body more effectively
emotional care to help you relax deeply
information on various treatments/interventions
support and guidance for both the mother and father
phone support
postpartum visits to process the birth, provide guidance with breastfeeding, soothing teas, and other practical help so your recovery and bonding is a little easier on you and your family
childbirth education classes or retreat for 1-4 couples (See Services Pull Down Menu below for details.)

Why hire a doula?

Evidence-based data shows that women who have a devoted, professional doula at their side have fewer medical interventions, shorter labors, and better health outcomes for herself and her baby.

I serve alongside midwives or doctors and the rest of the medical team, helping the birthing mother navigate labor with confidence, knowing she is heard and respected.

Labor & birth Basic Package ..... $800

If you find that you need the in-person support of a doula solely for labor and birth, I would be honored to assist you. I can provide calm, affirmative support through your labor, birth and immediate postpartum. This package includes:

In-person consultation
Telehealth: 1 virtual labor preparation appointment
Phone/text assistance leading up to labor
Labor and birth support from the onset of labor until you are settled after your baby's birth
Guidance with first breastfeeding
Telehealth postpartum checkup

Hourly Postpartum Care ..... $50/hour (door to door) Minimum 2 hours of care

Most of my birth packages come with some postpartum care. However, if you would like additional postpartum support, it would be my pleasure to assist you. Some of the services included are:

nutritious meals and teas
providing professional referrals as needed
lactation and infant care guidance
reviewing and processing your labor and birth experience
light tasks around the house to help you rest and settle into your new role
emotional care and grief support if you experience a miscarriage or stillbirth. (I am a certified and commissioned Stephen Minister, trained in providing spiritual and emotional care in times of crisis.)

Childbirth Classes:

Private..... $150 per class for one parent/couple

Group Rate..... $100 per class each parent/couple (2 to 4 couples in your group)

I typically meet with clients in the privacy of their home. Please inquire if you need to meet elsewhere.

Includes workbook
Each class lasts about 2 hours.
Labor & Birth Basics Class: the start of labor, stages of labor and birth, pushing, common medical interventions, induction, preparing for possible cesarean or TOLAC / VBAC, immediate postpartum including plan for your placenta, cutting the cord, first hour with your baby, and repair to your body.
Comfort Measures Class: physical comfort measures including massage, counter-pressure, and medical options, labor environment, dispelling fears, hydrotherapy, breath work, mental and emotional relaxation, labor positions and movement. Includes massage and counter-pressure practice and hands-on tips.
Postpartum & Life with Baby Class: immediate and long-term postpartum recovery, postpartum blues, recovery for mama's body, cesarean recovery, bonding, newborn health procedures and care during the first few weeks, diapering, sleep, pumping and breastfeeding basics. We will practice diapering, burping, and swaddling baby. (Dolls and supplies are provided.)
My classes are fitting for a first birth or subsequent births.
Instruction and material are available in English or Spanish.

Devoted Day Retreat ..... $500 first Parent/Couple (+$100 per additional couple)

For an extra special experience and to complete all childbirth classes at once, consider a luxurious day retreat in your home or as part of a weekend getaway!

Includes full birthing class content and materials with a prepared herbal bath soak for mother or couple, and extra time spend on massage for birthing mother (with essential oils and/or hot stones if desired at no additional cost).
Invite another pregnant friend / couple to join you! Additional $100 fee per extra birthing couple.
Long-distance retreats available upon request with advanced notice. Extra fees may apply.

Coaching for dad..... $100/session

Focused time with Dad includes:

Coaching session with my husband, Mike Miller, certified mentor and coach, pastor, father and now, Bumpa
The guys will pick a restaurant or public place to meet. Your fee covers the meal / drinks out!
Follow up and encouragement afterwards, especially leading up to the birth.
Receive personalized expert coaching on the dad's role in labor, becoming a father, and how to engage during the various stages of your baby's development from infancy to older childhood... It's a time where the father can receive encouragement and personalized attention as he considers his own unique role and gift of strength through the birth process and beyond.

When is payment expected?

Doula Support: $200 down payment is due when agreement is signed (except OHP, which is usually 100% covered). The down payment is non-refundable. Your balance is due 2 weeks prior to your due date/by week 38. Payment plans are available upon request.

Childbirth Education Classes: Payment is due in full at the start of class or retreat.

Payments can be made by cash, check, Venmo or PayPal.

Insurance

I bill OHP (PacificSource, IHN, Open Card and Yamhill Community Care) as well as MODA. However, billing insurance is nuanced. Once I verify your coverage, we can review the details and discuss your options. I offer payment plans for self-paying clients.
